Bike for Bibles on National TV

Bike For Bibles on National TV from Bible Society Australia on Vimeo.

Watch the full documentary on Australia’s Channel 7, Christmas Day 2011 (11.30am most states, 11am in WA; please check local TV guide closer to date).

This is an introduction trailer video. You can review the entire program on Bible Society Australia’s website from late afternoon on Christmas Day.

About the documentary… What would keep someone on a bike for 1000km, over nine days? How do 47 different people get along as a group – some teens, others pushing 70; some competitive, some happy just to ride? And what makes a whole army of volunteers, donors and supporters so eager to help every way they can?

The motivation and special “family tie” of the Bible Society’s Bike For Bibles (BFB) will be explored in this doco. Follow Jim Blaxland and the team as they ride through country NSW, to raise funds for the Bible Society’s literacy project in Mozambique, and Bible distribution to the ADF and Australian schools. Learn what the “roadies” do, witness the welcome that the team gets in small country towns, and see why the Bible Society’s BFB is as much about big hearts as it is about strong muscles.

So mark it on your calendar, and tell others to tune in as well, so that more can learn about the people, purpose and passion behind “Bike For Bibles”.
